Meeting with the Newly Appointed Inspector General Prisons, Capt (R) Abdul Saeed Naveed

Mr. Allauddin Khilji (Resident Director, Aurat Foundation) and Ms. Yasmeen (Project Coordinator) held an introductory meeting on 7th April, 2025 with the newly appointed Inspector General (IG) Prisons, Capt (R) Abdul Saeed Naveed.

During the meeting, Mr. Khilji presented a detailed overview of Muslim Charity’s ongoing operations in Pakistan, with particular emphasis on interventions in Quetta Jail. He outlined key components of the Technical Training & Rehabilitation Program for Juvenile Inmates, including infrastructure development, vocational training for women inmates, and comprehensive rehabilitation support for juveniles. He also informed the IG that two vehicles from the Prisons Department will be converted into fully equipped ambulances as part of the initiative.

The IG Prisons expressed appreciation for the joint efforts of Aurat Foundation and Muslim Charity, commending their commitment to enhancing inmate welfare and skill-building opportunities. He assured his full support for the continuation and expansion of these rehabilitation and welfare initiatives.
