Aurat Foundation Islamabad team conducted a successful and productive meeting with the leadership of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), represented by Mr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, at his office today. This meeting was part of the project titled “Advancement of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion within Political Parties.” The initiative aims to conduct a comprehensive review of political parties’ constitutions and propose amendments to enhance gender equality and social inclusion within the decision-making bodies of these parties. Mr. Khalid Maqbool expressed his commitment to the objectives and initiatives of the initiative as well as their commitment towards Gender Equality & Social Inclusion (GE&SI). He designated Ms. Sabeen Ghauri, Member of the National Assembly (MNA), and Mr. Haider Rizvi, MNA, as the focal points for MQM. The meeting concluded on a highly appreciative note towards the efforts of the Aurat Foundation.
