Aurat Foundation Holds Awareness Seminar on Civic and Voter Education in Khairpur

On March 05, 2026, a seminar on CNIC Registration and Voter Education was held at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, in connection with International Women’s Day.

A total of 70 women in District Khairpur, Sindh, attended the seminar and were given awareness on civic and voter education. The session highlighted the importance of holding a CNIC and being registered as a voter, which are the first steps toward exercising the right to vote and taking part in democratic processes.

The seminar provided participants with information on their civic rights and gave them an opportunity to learn more about the registration process and how they can take part in elections as informed citizens.

Such awareness activities are important for increasing women’s participation in civic and political life, and for ensuring that women are equipped with the knowledge they need to claim their rights.
