Aurat Foundation Balochistan & Women Development Department Discuss Partnership on Aurat Card

On 29 September 2026, the Aurat Foundation Quetta team, Resident Director Allauddin Khilji, Ms. Yasmeen Mughal, and Mr. Shair Shah Ghilzai, newly appointed Secretary, Women Development Department, Government of Balochistan and Additional Secretary Mr. Naseebullah held a meeting to discuss the proposed signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration on the Aurat Card initiative.

During the meeting, Mr. Allauddin Khilji briefed the Secretary on the 40-year journey, mandate, achievements, and ongoing work of Aurat Foundation, with a special focus on the Aurat Card, Pakistan’s national women’s empowerment platform. The initiative is designed as a digital-first membership and benefits platform for women, built around four key pillars: financial benefits, women’s safety, medical and psychosocial support, and a skills marketplace.

The Aurat Card aims to provide women with greater access to practical benefits and support, including structured discounts, emergency/safety services, counselling and referral pathways, and opportunities to showcase skills and connect with businesses.

Mr. Ghilzai appreciated the efforts and contributions of Aurat Foundation and assured his cooperation and support in moving forward with the proposed MoU, aimed at strengthening opportunities, protection, and socio-economic empowerment of women in Balochistan.

The proposed collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creating stronger systems and opportunities that place women’s empowerment, safety, wellbeing, and economic participation at the centre of development efforts in Balochistan.

At the end of meeting, The Aurat Foundation Book was presented to the Secretary WDD.
