Visit of National Party Representatives to Aurat Foundation Quetta Office

Ms. Kalsoom Niaz, Member Provincial Assembly Balochistan, and Mr. Ali Ahmed Langau, Focal Person from the National Party, visited the Aurat Foundation (AF) Quetta Office.

During the visit, the AF team briefed them on the Terms of Reference (ToRs) for the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Committee, developed as a follow-up to the Intra-Party Consultation with the National Party.

As a next step, there is a need to formally constitute and notify the GESI Committee. The Committee will review the existing National Party Constitution from a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) perspective and develop proposed amendments based on the findings of the review.

The AF team requested Ms. Kalsoom Niaz and Mr. Ali Ahmed Langau to facilitate the issuance of the Committee’s official notification on the National Party’s letterhead. The Party may also nominate additional members to the Committee, as appropriate.

Both representatives expressed their agreement and assured that the notification would be issued at the earliest possible time.
