AF team held a coordination meeting with Ms. Sabeen Gouri, Project Focal Person of (MQM-P)

On 7 July 2026, the Aurat Foundation team held a coordination meeting with Ms. Sabeen Gouri, Project Focal Person of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), at her office. The meeting was part of AF’s ongoing engagement with political parties to support the adoption and institutionalization of the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Code of Conduct.

During the discussion, both sides reviewed the current status of the draft documents and identified the remaining procedural steps required for their formal endorsement and inclusion in the party constitution. Ms. Gouri reaffirmed MQM-P’s commitment to incorporating GESI principles into the party’s institutional policies, internal processes and political practices.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination between AF and MQM-P. Both sides agreed to remain closely engaged to support the timely finalization, approval and effective implementation of the proposed reforms.
