Aurat Foundation Engages Health Experts on Public and Mental Health Priorities

A productive and insightful meeting was held on 11 June 2026 with Dr. M. Akram Sultan, Advisor Health and Member, OIC Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), along with Dr. Noor ul Zaman, National Director of the Mental Health Household Survey at the Pakistan Institute of Living & Learning.
The meeting offered a valuable opportunity to discuss key priorities related to public health, mental health, research and development, and the importance of strengthening multi-sectoral coordination. The discussion particularly focused on evidence-based approaches for improving health policies, enhancing service delivery, and addressing mental health and substance use prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation through more integrated and collaborative efforts.
The engagement was highly constructive and encouraging, creating space for knowledge sharing, institutional learning, and potential future collaboration.
