State institution deliberately depriving women of their basic right to vote:

Aurat Foundation Peshawar office issued a press release that due to faulty polling scheme of the Election Commission, around 350,000 women would be deprived of casting their vote.  According to a news  item published  in Urdu daily ‘Al-Mashreq’, Peshawar, Election Commission is setting combined polling station for women and men in Bajor, Orakzai, Torghar, Kohistan, FR Laki Marwat, FR Kohat, FR Peshawar, and North Waziristan.  Ms  Shabina Ayaz, Resident Director, AF Peshawar office, in the statement said that in those areas,  social condition do not  allow women to join men in public places.  She blamed that state institution are deliberately creating such situation that women become deprived of their basic right to representation.
