Strengthening Access to Justice through Institutional Collaboration: Aurat Foundation Meets SSP Federal Prisons, Islamabad

As part of the project “Trans-Provincial Intervention for Reformative Capacity-Building, Enabling Access to Justice and Advocacy through Outreach Programs with Actors in the Criminal Justice System,” a delegation from Aurat Foundation (AF) met with Mr. Ali Akbar, SSP Federal Prisons, Islamabad to discuss the current situation of prisons and explore opportunities for collaboration in strengthening access to justice and prison reforms.

During the meeting, Mr. Mumtaz Mughal, Director Programs, Aurat Foundation presented AF’s Book, Mile Stones of struggle and Success to Mr. Ali Akbar as a gesture of appreciation and collaboration. The AF delegation also included Mr. Shafi Agha, Director Institutions & Coordination, Ms. Mehak Fatima Jafry, Program Officer and Ms. Qurat ul Ain Hanif, Legal Officer.
