Aurat Foundation Balochistan Engages with WFP on Gender, Protection and Inclusion

The Aurat Foundation (AF) Balochistan team participated in a meeting with Ms. Ahmareen Karim, Chief of Gender, Protection and Inclusion (GPI), World Food Programme (WFP), Rome, during her visit to Quetta.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including the EVAW/G Alliance Balochistan, Balochistan Commission on the Status of Women (BCSW), Ombudsperson, PHF, NHN and IRC, to share their initiatives and community outreach across Balochistan.

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in gender equality, protection, inclusive livelihoods, women’s empowerment, and the resilience of vulnerable women, children and youth, alongside improved access to humanitarian assistance.

Participants also highlighted the importance of a coordinated institutional policy framework and collective efforts by the UN and relevant stakeholders to advance the Gender, Protection and Inclusion agenda.

Together, we can build stronger partnerships and ensure that vulnerable communities across Balochistan are protected, empowered and included.
