The Foundation’s inclusive approach merits special appreciation, particularly its consistent engagement with minority women.

My heartfelt felicitations to the Aurat Foundation on completing 40 remarkable years of advancing women’s rights, gender justice, and democratic participation. This milestone is not just a celebration of ordinary nature but a tale of many fold and untold stories, successes and setbacks. We have travelled together. I remember that when I was deputy speaker of the Sindh provincial assembly, and later, minister of women development, how Aurat Foundation and its team in Karachi particularly supported us in every matter of critical concern to women. There is a long list of reminiscences and collective efforts to make laws for women and marginalized communities. I am glad that Aurat Foundation always accepted my advice and suggestions. Now when I have become member of national assembly, we are still working together.

I deeply recognize the significance of such achievements for women across Pakistan. The Foundation’s inclusive approach merits special appreciation, particularly its consistent engagement with minority women. As member of Pakistan Peoples Party, we shall never compromise on the rights of people, the poor, women and indigenous population.

The Aurat Foundation continues to play a vital role in fostering social cohesion through advocacy, awareness, and constructive engagement. I greatly value its contribution and remain confident that it will continue empowering women and inspiring future generations to build a more just, inclusive, and equitable Pakistan.
