Congratulations to Aurat Foundation on completing 40 years. I pray for the success of their efforts for women’s development for years to come. My association with Aurat Foundation has been for over 30 years. Throughout this period, their role has been that of a partner or friend, a teacher or mentor, especially regarding local government. When I started my work as a District Councilor, AF played a significant role in explaining everything from advocacy to budget. The entire team worked tirelessly to teach us about our rights and responsibilities, particularly regarding 33% representation.

On this occasion, it would be an injustice not to mention Rukhshanda Naz, Saima, Aimal, and Shabina. I pray for the success of the current team and hope that they will be prepared to face the challenges of the present era and play their role in achieving basic human rights.
