AF is not only an institution but a personal journey of struggle, resilience and hope.

Aurat Foundation is one of the most impactful women’s organizations in the history of Pakistan and a continuous source of inspiration for generations of women. For me, AF is not only an institution but a personal journey of struggle, resilience, and hope. Working for women’s rights has meant facing pressure, challenges, and limited space for feminist voices, yet we chose to continue and I chose to continue.

Through Aurat Foundation, I have witnessed powerful transformations, women moving from silence to confidence, from being unheard to becoming leaders in their communities. That is what has kept me going. Through years of advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and policy engagement, AF has remained steadfast in its commitment to women’s rights, democracy, and social justice. This struggle is not only institutional. It reflects the perseverance of countless women who refused to remain invisible and instead chose to speak up, organize, and demand change despite the odds.
