Former Member National Assembly, MQM
Aurat Foundation has always worked shoulder to shoulder with women parliamentarians.

My association with Aurat Foundation spans more than four decades , a journey marked by resilience, solidarity, and unwavering commitment. I had the honor of being elected three times as a Member of the National Assembly, and even before that, during my tenure as a Councilor, Aurat Foundation stood firmly by my side in the struggle for women’s rights. Today, although I do not hold any government office, my services remain dedicated to the social and civic rights of women, including the empowerment of women with disabilities. I take pride in the fact that Aurat Foundation continues to stand beside me with the same resolve and dedication, for our vision and cause are shared.

This is the true identity of Aurat Foundation: it is not bound by positions of power or political office, but remains steadfastly connected to its mission and objectives. The Foundation has always worked shoulder to shoulder with women parliamentarians, whether they are newly elected representatives or senior women ministers with decades of experience. Aurat Foundation accords equal importance to all, and extends unwavering support to every woman who struggles for justice, equality, and empowerment.

I deeply value and admire the mission and objectives of Aurat Foundation. Its role in strengthening democracy and amplifying the voices of women at every level of leadership is both vital and inspiring. It is an institution that has not only impacted countless women, but continues to uplift and encourage them, myself included, to carry forward the struggle for women’s rights in Pakistan with strength and determination.
