From the day Aurat Foundation was established one thing was very clear. It was not just an NGO. It was a movement.With clear objectives and a well thought out strategy, the organization began to attract highly qualified and dedicated women and men to implement its goals.
Basically the brainchild of Nigar Ahmed and Shehla Zia the organization supported human rights with special concern for womens rights that were denied or ignored due to misogyny or indifference.
Aurat Foundation began addressing these issues by not just challenging archaic thinking but by offering ideas, solutions and tools creating a more balanced and inclusive mindset. This strategy also attracted some very qualified and visionary men whose critical thinking and analyses have provided an unbiased platform for further growth.
