It is with deep respect and admiration that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Aurat Foundation on reaching a remarkable 40-years milestones. Since 1986, the Foundation has been a transformative force in advocating for women’s rights, democratic governance, and inclusive policy reform. Its legacy is rooted not just in its longevity, but in its fearless pursuit of equity, justice and empowerment for Pakistan’s women, particularly those at the grassroots level.

As a Member of the National Assembly, former Senator, and Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, I have been privileged to contribute to gender-sensitive legislative reform and diplomatic dialogue that amplifies women’s voices. Aurat Foundation’s present efforts have created space for women leaders in political, social and civic spheres work that aligns closely with my own legislative mission.

This commemorative volume serves not only as a celebration of progress, but as a call to action. Let it remind us that the struggle for gender justice in ongoing and that we each have a role in shaping a future where every woman, regardless of background, has the right and the power to lead. I salute Aurat Foundation for its unwavering dedication – and pledge my continued support to its cause.
