Pakistan’s Gender Parity Index requires concerted collaboration between government institutions and civil society organizations.

As Aurat Foundation celebrates 40 years of advancing women’s rights, gender justice and democratic engagement, I extend my deep appreciation for its resilience, civic courage and transformative collective action. Over four decades, it has amplified women’s voices, championed policy reforms and mobilized communities, leaving a lasting imprint on public discourse and strengthening the moral fabric of society.

Aligned with the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Government of Pakistan is resolutely committed to advancing gender equality through the Prime Minister’s Women Empowerment Package 2024, supported by comprehensive and robust policies. However, meaningful progress in improving Pakistan’s Gender Parity Index requires concerted collaboration between government institutions and civil society organizations such as Aurat Foundation.

Aurat Foundation plays a vital role in fostering social cohesion through dedicated advocacy and positive engagement while inspiring future generations. I deeply value its impact and remain confident that it will continue empowering women and leading with purpose in the years ahead.
